Privacy policy
In short: this website sets no cookies, uses no tracking and loads nothing from third-party servers. The only processing of your data is what every web server technically needs to deliver a page, plus your own email if you write to me.

The German version of this website under /de/ runs on the same technology and processes data in the same way; this policy applies to both language versions, and the German version prevails.
2. Visiting the website (server log data)
When you open a page, your browser technically transmits the IP address, date and time, the address requested, the previously visited page (referrer), browser type and operating system. This data is processed in the hosting provider's logs to deliver the page, secure operation and detect faults. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR (legitimate interest in secure operation). The logs are deleted automatically by the hosting provider after a short time and are not combined with other data; I do not analyse them.
Hosting: Mittwald CM Service GmbH & Co. KG, Königsberger Straße 4–6, 32339 Espelkamp, Germany. The servers are located in Germany. A data processing agreement under Art. 28 GDPR is in place with Mittwald.
3. No cookies, no tracking
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, tracking or advertising services. No user profiles are created. That is why there is no cookie banner either.
4. Local storage and third-party content
If you switch between day and night display at the top right, your browser remembers this choice in its local storage so that it persists on the next page. This is not a cookie; the setting never leaves your device and contains nothing about you. You can delete it at any time through your browser settings.
Fonts, stylesheets and graphics are delivered from the site's own server. No content from Google, social networks, map services, booking platforms or advertising networks is embedded.
The pages contain links to external websites: to GetYourGuide and Viator for booking (affiliate links, marked as advertising), to the operators' websites and to the sources named on each page. Only once you click such a link do the privacy rules of the respective provider apply. Both platforms recognise via a parameter in the link that you came from this website; what data they process themselves is set out in the privacy policy of GetYourGuide and of Viator (Viator International B.V., Amsterdam).
5. Contact by email
If you email me, I process your details to answer the enquiry (Art. 6 (1) (b) or (f) GDPR) and delete them once the enquiry is settled and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.
6. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and objection to processing based on legitimate interests (Art. 21). Please contact the address above.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, for example the Berlin Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information, Alt-Moabit 59–61, 10555 Berlin, Germany, datenschutz-berlin.de.
7. Transfers to third countries
The pages are delivered from servers in Germany. Because neither tracking nor advertising networks nor third-party content are embedded, no transfer of your data to third countries takes place on my site. If you follow a booking link, the privacy terms of that provider apply from that point on.
8. Security
The website is delivered over an encrypted connection (HTTPS).
9. Changes
This policy applies from 21 September 2026 and replaces the version of 20 September 2026. If the website changes, for instance through a contact form with a form service or a visitor count, this policy will be updated beforehand.
